For Chitra, the great singer, music is her food. One of the most devotional singers. She gets so much involved
while singing and one can experience the Bhakthi rasa. "Her Sruthi Sudda" singing takes the listners to trance.
God is very unkind on her to make her lose her sweet daughter. We don't know the dharma sookshma. I pray the
almighty to give her strength to bear this pain and agony. I am sure she wil give us more and more new devotional songs.
All the luck to her.

THE CONCEPT OF GOD

“The wise describe Thee by a series of negations – as
neither human nor non-human; as neither divine nor
demoniacal; as neither male nor female; as neither existent
nor non-existent; and as without any of the descriptive
specifications of the world of objects like substance, attribute,
function, and species. RESIDUAL of all such negations, and
described with great difficulty by the Upanishads through
implied references, is that pure Blissful Awareness Thou art.
To that BEING my salutations!”

(Naarayaneeyam, Canto (Dasaka) 98, shlokas 1 and 3.
English Translations by Swami Tapasyananda)

“Keshaadipaadam” comes under “nishkaLa brahmopaasana”.
NishkaLa Brahma is the impersonal Brahman in contrast to
the persomal (sakaLa) Brahma. The word, “Naarayana”
is considered to possess both impersonal and personal
Brahman attributes.

The first stanza of Keshaadipaadam, “agre pashyaami tejo”,
is very intriguing. The author perceived - “sees” (not merely
in the sense of visual mental imagery or “mind’s eye”) –
in front of his eyes the divine kaishora form (vEsham) of
Lord Krishna.

The Naarayaneeyam is condensed form of Shrimad Bhagavatam.
Sanatana Dharma (Eternal Wisdom) holds that all beings undergo
ever continuing, ceaseless cycles of birth, life, death and rebirth.
Bhaagavatham paves a way (paradigm) for human beings to break
out of this eternal cycle and realize union with the Universal
Consciousness (Parabrahman) at His Lotus feet (to reach their
real “home”).

Hundredth "dashaka" of Narayaneeyam, “Keshaadipaada”
varNanam, description of Lord Shri Krishna, his divine…
"divya Kaishora vEsham" (Kaishora...Kishore- 16-year old boy),
from crown (head) to foot. It is believed that this is the form
of Lord Krishna that is installed in Guruvayur Shri Krishna
temple in the town of Guruvayur, the State of Kerala. Legend
has it that the same form also was worshiped by Bhagavan
Sri Krisha at His palace in Dwaraka. Conventional descriptions
of the Divine are considered to be from foot to head
(aapada chooda varnanam). The author, Melpathur Narayana
Bhattathiri is said to have committed this error
(description of the Lord from crown to foot).

Narayaneeyam solemnly and sublimely reinforces, for the current life
and beyond, the following dictum. “More things are wrought by prayer
than this world dreams of.” --- Alfred, Lord Tennyson

This is the hundredth Dashaka of Narayaneeyam “Keshaadipaadam” varnanam, description of Lord Shri Krishna, his divine… "divya Kaishora vesham" (Kaishora...Kishore- 16-year old boy), from crown to foot. This is the form of the Lord considered to be installed in Guruvayur Shri Krishna temple in the town of Guruvayur, the State of Kerala (Keralam). The same form was worshiped by Bhagavan Sri Krishan at his palace in Dwaraka. Conventional descriptions of the Divine are considered to be from foot to head (aapada chooda varnanam). Bhaagavatham paves a way (paradigm) for human beings to break out of this eternal cycle and realize union with the Universal Consciousness (Parabrahman) at His Lotus feet (to reach their real “home”).

In the Narayaneeyam, a scholarly (erudite) and exquisite Sanskrit work, Melpathoor Narayana Bhattathiri, a Sanskrit scholar and grammarian, born in Melpathur illam (house) near Tirunavaya, in the State of Kerala, famed as the venue of the Mamankam festival, masterfully and brilliantly condenses and encapsulates in 1036 shlokams (stanzas) the gist of the Puraana (ancient work of lore), Shrimad Bhaagavatham (story of God), considered to be composed by Sage Vyaasa, according to legendary accounts. It is a masterpiece. Narayaneeyam is quintessence of the Bhaagavatham…

Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri (1500s’) had been reputed to have learned Sanskrit under the tutelage of Thrikkandiyoor Achyuta Pisharati, known as a renowned Sanskrit grammarian, astrologer, astronomer and mathematician of his time. Narayana Bhattathirippad was a student of Jyeshtadeva and a member of Madhava of Sangamagrama's Kerala School of Astronomy and Mathematics. He was a mathematical linguist (vyakarana).

The Narayaneeyam, a scholarly Sanskrit work, brilliantly condenses and encapsulates in 1036 shlokams (stanzas), Puraana (ancient work of lore), Shrimad Bhaagavatham (story of God), considered to be composed by SageVyaasa, according to legendary accounts. It is a masterpiece. Narayaneeyam is quintessence of the Bhaagavatham. The latter narrates the essence of ancient wisdom, Sanathana Dharma. This treatise, a grand exposition, comprehensively and succinctly encapsulates the philosophy surrounding the origin of the universe and the purpose of human existence. It also elaborates the various incarnations of the Universal Consciousness, manifesting to re-establish cosmic balance and harmonious order in the Universe from time to time. Santana Dharma holds that all beings undergo ever continuing, ceaseless cycles of birth, life, death and rebirth.

Bhaagavatham paves a way (paradigm) for human beings to break out of this eternal cycle and realize union with the Universal Consciousness (Parabrahman) at His Lotus feet (to reach their real “home”).

The Narayaneeyam, was most beautifully sung by the celebrated artist, (deceased) Leela Amma, P. Leela. This has been played everyday at the Shri Krishna Temple in Guruvayoor, to enthrall devotees (aspirants) from dawn to dusk and beyond.
