Thank you so very much, JK Sir (Prof. Julius Karunakaran), for your insight and providing the meaning of the opening lines, pallavi, which is so very beautiful. Sun, the brightest and the most brilliant star, as the only pair of eyes for the day while the night has a thousand and more eyes (as stars)...

Thank you, Julius Sir, so very much. That is enlightening and fascinating. Sun, the brightest and most brilliant star, as the only pair of eyes for the day while the night has a thousand and more eyes (as stars). Sun and the heliocentric universe - relating to the sun as center... At one time, Kavingar addressed students during a Bharathiyar day function at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and met with some students (they were predominantly engineering) and faculty thereafter. Individuals were fascinated with his keen and incisive mind, his awareness and his non-stop...incessant curiosity. Sun is the arbiter of the universe and of human destiny. It is at the centrality of our lives. The brightest star makes what is known as "day". Sun is the "creator". Sunlight facilitates the generation of energy (by providing light consisting of photons that are used to split water, thus generating energy), linked with the manufacturing of food (he processes of photosynthesis) by green plants, thus sustaining life in the grand scheme of things.

One of KVM's marvellous creations, for Kavignar'slfabulous lyric. The lyricist, perhaps was referring to the twinkling stars in thousands, and referring to the only star, the Sun during day!. He boldly ventured into scientific ideas as well.

Comment for song Iravukku Aayiram of album 'Kulamagal Radhai' by T ChithanPosted:30 Jun,2010
This song appears to be an adaptation of a British song, "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes”, in asmuch as the opening lines, pallavi, concern. Nevertheless, Kavingar has beautifully propelled philosophical reflections in a most endearing and appealing way. Beauty of a song! Absolutely fascinating melody.
The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies
When love is done.
There is also a Finnish album amongst others. And, several versions of this song appear to exist in the continent of North America.
