This song sure is a commercialized version, not a pure classical rendition. The same kriti is used in K. Viswanath's 'Saptapadi' as a situational number when the hero longing to see the gal sends in the kriti to express how much he misses her smiling face....

MG Sreekumar has done a tremendous job as these songs were his debut to play back singing!

I am just listening now, first time; being so, being so thankful. Moving singing. This is a
a very charming song. Singing by MGS is very charming. The way he weaves lyrics effortlessly and just like that - spontaneously - is striking. He is fully immersed in the heavily loaded emotions of he song and its moods. Weaves those words on a thread of his music -vibration and melody- subtly blends them with mood, and transforms them to a sugandha mala (fragrant garland). And, harmony even as he sings melody.
It is just perfect- nothing to say about his singing. As they say it is just perfect in English…exquisite. Abharam!
