theysay that this stotra was rendered by Ravan.. a very lakshmi pradam this stotram is... the usage of sabdhalankara is a proof of his mastery over the Sanskrit language.. the Bhava of the stotra is a picture of His Love and Devotion towards Lord Shiva... No doubt Ravana is one of the best Siv Bhaktas where one should and must definitely quote for .... where he makes his Intestine as rudra veena and sings in praise of Lord Shiva when he tries to life the mount kailash.. he does a severe penance on the lord to get hHis Atma Linga on the request of Ravanas Mother... he gets it but he couldn't take it to his mother but is htere in the name of the place caled Gokarnam near Goa...
